CEFROHT is proud to support several Agroecology Learning Centers across Uganda, including in Kiboga, Mukono, and Kyankwanzi districts. These centers serve as hubs for sustainable farming practices, empowering local communities with knowledge on ecological agriculture.
One of our standout centers, located in Mukono, is managed by Ms. Nansubuga Jane, a leading model farmer in agroecology. Under her leadership, the center demonstrates practical, climate-resilient farming techniques that enhance food security while preserving biodiversity.
Recently, the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Committee on Agriculture, Tourism, and Natural Resources (ATNR) visited our Mukono Agroecology Learning Center in Wakiso District, Uganda. The delegation observed firsthand how agroecology promotes soil health, reduces chemical dependency, and supports smallholder farmers. This visit highlights the growing recognition of agroecology as a key solution to sustainable development in East Africa.
Through these centers, CEFROHT fosters knowledge-sharing, innovation, and community resilience, ensuring farmers adopt practices that protect ecosystems while improving livelihoods. Agroecology is not just a farming method—it’s a movement toward a greener, more equitable food system.
Join us in advancing sustainable agriculture across Uganda and beyond!
